Food is the main source of nourishment for humans and animals. It provides energy, keeps the body functioning properly, and sustains growth. The relationship between food and human beings is complex and varied.

Nutritious foods

Historically, humans secured food by gathering and hunting. However, with the invention of agriculture, many different types of food are now available. Today, people from all over the world can enjoy tasty and nutritious foods.

Although some of these foods are healthy, they also contain high amounts of calories, fat, and refined sugars. Excesses in diet can lead to obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
